Bulk DVD duplication differs from bulk DVD replication in that a brand-new DVD is not manufactured from scratch. Instead, data is copied onto reliable blank media, resulting in a short turnaround time of between three and five days.

Duplication is faster, with a turnaround time of between three and five days, while replication is normally around double that, while also being more expensive.
