Bulk CD Duplication Uses Blank Media
When we talk about bulk CD duplication, we mean CD runs of between 100 and 1,000 discs. CD duplication entails copying data to blank media. If the run is bigger than 1,000 or you want to make hundreds of thousands or even millions of CDs, you would have to use the bulk CD replication process.
The difference is that the bulk CD duplication process copies data to blank media, while the replication process manufactures CDs from the raw materials, using a glass master made from the original CD. Duplication is faster, with a turnaround time of between three and five days, while replication is normally around double that, while also being more expensive.
